ABOUT GREG EVERSOUL
As a teenager in the late 80’s in Denver Colorado, Greg grew up listening to new wave, hip-hop, and rock music. In 1991 after hearing local DJs like Hani and John Chamie drop records such as Inner City’s “Good Life” and Soul 2 Soul’s “Back 2 Life,” he was inspired to begin a journey that would lead him into underground music. He started attending Denver’s early warehouse parties and taking weekend trips to Los Angeles to experience the parties in bigger cities. On one such trip, Greg heard a set by west coast legend Doc Martin and it forever changed his concept of electronic music. Greg started his DJ career in 1993 at Denver’s Fab Afterhours parties alongside DJ Hipp-e, who is a major influence on his sound to this day. It did not take long before Greg was playing at raves and club events across the US. His dynamic techy house sets landed him sets along side Ritchie Hawtin, Louie Vega, Sasha, The Chemical Brothers, and many others. Rocking dance floors from Seoul to Montreal, Riga to Miami, and from New York to Paris, Greg finally planted down in San Francisco where he held residencies at 1015 Folsom, Ruby Skye and The End Up. In 2010 Greg returned to Denver to join forces with long time friend and fellow DJ/Producer Hipp-e as part of the ROOTS collective. Their collaboration has lead to the release of tracks like ‘To Be Free’ on Tenampa and ‘Truth In Depth’ on 5 and Dime. In 2015 he had the guest mix on John Digweed’s Transitions radio show, one of the world’s most successful dance music shows, broadcast across 45 countries to a staggering weekly audience of 14 million. 2020 marks the beginning of his own SUPERTAPE label.
